Terrific Turkey Day

What a wonderful Thanksgiving it was this year! Josh and I weren't sure who to spend Thanksgiving with between his parents, my mom's house, or my dad's house. Josh asked his parents what they were doing and they didn't have anything planned. So then Josh had the idea of inviting his parents and siblings and my mom and siblings over to our house. After deciding that, my dad called and said they were doing an after Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday; so we'd be able to see all of family this year! How great is that?

Well Josh's fam and mine minus my dad and stuff were able to come! It was so fun hosting all of them. Thankfully we split up the cooking 'cause I wouldn't be able to do it all. They all brought something and Josh and I just made stuffing, gravy, a salad, and jello. My mom brought the turkey and it was delish. Everyone else brought all the other stuff; it was awesome Josh's mom brought 4 pies! We were able to borrow a long table and folding chairs from Josh's parents ward house so we could all sit at one table.

After having our wonderful feast we watched "Up" and just relaxed and enjoyed talking to each other. During the movie I gave my cute niece a bath, she is so funny. When I was rinsing out her shampoo she kept saying "do it again" meaning pour the water in the cup over her head again. And she was making up stories about her toys-so cute. I love all my family SO much. I'm so so thankful that they came and I'm looking forward to going to my dad's on Saturday.

Alesha, Dan, and new baby Syndey

Handsome Ethan

Tried to get a picture of her beautiful eyes but she wouldn't look at me for the picture :(

I am also thankful for so many other things: my health, my job, my Josh, my religion, my friends, my home, food, and many many other things. I hope everyone had a terrific Turkey Day too.
That evening after most of our family left, Josh, me, my mom, and Mark all saw New Moon. I liked it more then Twilight but I wanted there to be more chemistry between Jacob and Bella...I'm a Jacob fan all the way.

Now onto the rest of the holidays....less then a month until Christmas yay!

Another New Niece!

My sister-in-law Alesha had her baby girl on 11/11/09, last Wednesday. She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz., the same as her older brother. They named her Syndey Rae. The name Rae is after Josh and Alesha's grandpa. Josh and I got to see her on Friday night and she is just adorable. She was sleeping when we saw her and making the cutest little noises as she slept. I can't wait to see her again soon. Congrats Alesha and Dan! We're so glad Sydney got here safely and that she's healthy.

Halloween 2009

We really got into Halloween this year. It was a blast! Earlier in the week we carved pumpkins-I thought Josh's turned out awesome-he did an eye. It was carved on the outside out it. I just did a face. It was fun because I haven't carved pumpkins in a few years. Then yesterday we had our party. It wasn't quite how we expected it to be but it was still fun. We were a little bummed that a lot of our friends couldn't make it but we were really happy for the ones that did. The majority was family and then throughout the night some friends came. All in all we had fun. Hope you all had fun too!

Wow where have I been?

Geez the past few weeks have flown by! I can't believe there's only 8 days until Halloween. I'm really excited! Josh and I have been buying stuff for our costumes. I'll definitely put up some pictures with us all dressed up. :) I'm such a slacker that I've let a month pass by since I last posted. I've been online a lot reading your blogs and others....(does anyone else love looking at other people's blogs as much as me? I hope it's not weird and people don't think I'm stocking them ha ha I just like seeing how people are doing and what they're up to). Anyway so here's what Josh and I have been up to this month: (It's long sorry)

1. We enjoyed General Conference and while doing so that weekend, we also got started on painting the inside of our house. It was a lot of work and we aren't done yet. That weekend Oct. 3-4th we were able to do our living room, upstairs hallway, stair area, ceilings, and downstairs bathroom. We hadn't planned on painting anything, but Josh wanted to touch up some scuffs and dents in the walls from the previous owners. He thought he found the matching paint of the original wall color but when he went to paint over the drywall it was darker then the original color. We then decided that we may as well paint the walls a brand new color. We proceeded to buy tons of samples to see what we liked best for the living room. We're a little mad we wasted some money testing different colors-we bought like 10 samples at 3 dollars each plus paint brushes-but we finally found a color we love. For the living room we painting it a light brown and the ceiling is that color mixed with white to make it a shade lighter. We love it! Then we painted the half bath a light light purple. Well then the next weekend we decided to tackle the kitchen. We chose a pale yellow and painted the whole thing in one night. Unfortunately the next morning we decided we hated it and would have to change it. It gave the room a nice sunny feeling but didn't look good with our dark countertop and black appliances. After more debate and samples and wasted money we agreed on a great color. Josh mostly painted the kitchen himself but I helped a little. He's so great. We painted it a great red called "Apple a Day" and then also incorporated the brown of the living room. We think it turned out nice. So that's what we've done for the past few weeks. It's kept us really busy. We're going to tackle the bedrooms in a couple weeks after we've rested up.

2. On Oct. 11th we found out our ward is splitting and we will be going to a new ward starting on the 25th. I'm very bummed! This means we aren't in the nursery anymore, don't get to attend church at the new stake center, church is from 1-4 (ugh) and don't get to be with some of the awesome people we met. Oh well we'll meet new people and will hopefully still see friends in the old ward.

3.The other stuff we've been up to is getting ready for a Halloween party we're having. We are so excited! PS anyone reading this is welcome to come, just let me know if you want to.

4. A bugger this month was me feeling sick. I had 4 days this month where I had severe headaches that were so bad that I was in tears. Besides those days I've had more minor headaches and neck aches nearly everyday or every other day, even on the weekends. I'm not sure if it's tension or maybe stiffness from the painting or what but I sure don't like it. I'm thinking of going to a chiropractor. Any advice on that? Any good experiences with chiropractors??

Well that's where I've been this month. I'm looking forward to my sister in law Alesha having her baby girl next month and for the coming other holidays. What a great time of year! There are so many fun things to do in the fall and winter. Also I wanted to say one other thing, I'm so excited for my good friend Emily, she got engaged at the end of September! She met a great guy and they're SO cute together. Their planning on getting married March 19th but I think they'll end up moving it up. Ok so that's all for now. Here are some pictures:

This is proof of all the samples we tried

Finished product....still deciding on whether we like that
picture there. It was my grandparents and I love it but I don't like the gold frame.

To My Two Favorite People

I wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to my sister Manda, who turned 28 yesterday and my love Josh who turned 27 today!!! They really are two of my favorite people in the whole world. Josh is my number one of course. :) I'm so grateful to have them both in my life. I always feel comfortable when I'm around them and I love that I can be myself and they love me no matter what. Thanks guys. Hope your birthdays were fabulous! And happy first day of Fall. :)

Fun!

We had fun at the parade of homes this year, but it wasn't as good as last year.

I loved this bedroom-the wall color and wood blinds especially.

I liked the inside of the above one.

Here is my hot husband unshaven

We had a blast at East Canyon this year! Ethan, our nephew kept wanting to be around me it was so cute!!

Here we are at Hogle Zoo. We went with my best friend Brittany and her husband Chris.

Chris always makes weird faces

Being owls!

Bad picture of me but cute of Britt so I put it up :)

We did all of these things in August while we had time off work. Josh and I were both off for a whole week from August 10-14th. It was so great! I really enjoyed the whole summer. I thought it would suck with me taking a class. It wasn't too bad though. Now it's the middle of September already! Where does the time go? I'll write again soon. :)

My Feelings

So it's about 8:30 on Monday morning. I'm at SLCC wasting time online before work at 9. I started up at SLCC again last Wednesday. I'm taking 2 classes, English 1010 (Again even though I took it in high school, I need a refresher on writing) it's MWF from 7- 7:50 am....what was I thinking? I've been pretty tired but hopefully I'll get used to it. Then my other class...I've gone back and forth but have decided on Utah's Diverse Heritage, I need it to be my diversity credit which is a requirement for an associates. Anywho that's school. Work is going good.....but I'm a little worried because my co-worker Kelly will be leaving in October, or maybe earlier to go on a mission. That means another new person will be coming in to help me with customer service. Oh well I'll survive.

I have a lot more stuff to write about....like Josh graduating from the U yay! And other recent fun stuff. But I wanted to say how I've been feeling lately. It's silly but I wanted to write it on here. I've been SO baby hungry! It seems like everyone around me is pregnant. It was this way last year too but then I knew that we would be waiting awhile and now it may not be too far off. My sister had her baby in June, my sister-in-law is due in November, there are some friends of mine that are pregnant, and then in my ward there are tons of pregnant moms-I swear there are at least 10 right now and lots with babies born in the last few months. I have to keep telling myself my time will come. In the mean time, although I'm going to school I really don't want to, I know it will be worth it but it's such a pain and such a slow process.

That's all for now, thanks for the vent.
